How We Work
Our Process
A transparent, five-phase process from first conversation to building completion — designed to keep you informed and in control.
What an Architect Does
Understanding architectural services — what clients should expect
Design & Documentation
Architects create the drawings and specifications that define how a building will be built — floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and material specifications.
Permitting & Compliance
We prepare and submit permit applications to city planning and building departments, navigating local codes and zoning requirements on your behalf.
Consultant Coordination
We coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, landscape architects, and other specialists to deliver a fully integrated design.
Construction Administration
During construction, we visit the site, review submittals, respond to contractor questions, and ensure the built result matches the design intent.
The Five Phases
01
Discovery
We begin with a deep dive into your site, goals, and vision. This phase uncovers project constraints, opportunities, and defines the design brief.
02
Concept Design
We develop multiple design concepts exploring form, massing, and spatial organization. Ideas are tested, refined, and presented for your feedback.
03
Design Development
The selected concept is developed into detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and material selections.
04
Permitting
We prepare and submit a complete permit package to the relevant municipality, coordinating with structural engineers and other consultants.
05
Construction
We provide construction administration services — reviewing submittals, answering RFIs, and conducting site visits to ensure the design intent is realized.
