A boutique 48-room hotel blending coastal modernism with luxurious materiality, steps from the Pacific.

The Strand Hotel emerged from a desire to create a boutique destination that feels native to the Southern California coast. The architecture draws from surf culture and mid-century modernism — low-profile, light-filled, and materially honest. Custom millwork, locally-sourced stone, and a palette of bleached wood and warm metals create a cohesive sense of place throughout the 48 guest rooms and public areas.
